| Having completed a 12 hour nightshift in Romsey at 7.30 that morning I decided to pop down to Mount Pleasant for an hour or so to see if any Cromptons would show on the Eastleigh-Meldon ballast empties only to be dissapointed!.
However looking back now 15 years or so later I am glad I recorded most of the traffic on what was a fairly typical morning. No slammers, HSTs or light engine moves were recorded or photted and the Furzebrook gas traffic was not running during this period due to mainteance work @ Wytch Farm as I recall. I may also have missed something whilst going back to Millbrook to see the Crompton on the MoD via a stop at the cafe for a Bacon Buttie in Portswood ;) |
